Crown Lengthening
Patients who have a high lip line, expose a wide zone of gingival tissue and may complain about their “gummy smile”. For these cases, crown lengthening is performed in order to improve the esthetics as well as the function of the teeth. The purpose of the Crown lengthening surgery is to re-shape the excess gum and bone tissue resulting in a more natural dentition that shows more tooth material.
